About Central Gauteng Athletics

Organisational Overview

Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) is the provincial governing body responsible for administering, developing and promoting athletics across the Central Gauteng region, covering Cross Country, Road Running and Track & Field. CGA coordinates affiliated clubs, sanctions competitions, and represents the interests of athletes, officials and coaches within the province.

To be the leading provincial athletics body in South Africa, recognised for excellence in competition, athlete development and inclusive, accountable governance.

Mission

To grow and develop athletics in Central Gauteng by providing well-organised competitions, supporting clubs and athletes at every level, and upholding the highest standards of fairness, transparency and sportsmanship.
