Commission

Athletes Commission

Chairperson Tiyani Khoza

To represent the interests and welfare of athletes, ensuring their voices are considered in decisions affecting athletics within Central Gauteng.

Responsibilities

  • Represent athletes at CGA meetings.

  • Strengthen communication between athletes and CGA.

  • Support athlete education and development.

Cross Country Commission

Chairperson Val Brentano

To oversee the planning, management, promotion and development of cross country running within Central Gauteng.

Track & Field Commission

To develop, manage and promote track and field competitions and athlete development throughout Central Gauteng.

  • Deliver well-organised competitions.
  • Identify athletes for provincial and national representation.

Road Running Commission

To regulate, develop and promote road running across Central Gauteng while ensuring safe, fair and professionally organised events.

  • Increase participation.
  • Strengthen relationships with clubs and race organisers.
  • Develop athletes from grassroots to elite level.
